4th Of July Dessert Board

A 4th of July Dessert Board is a festive spread filled with colorful red, white, and blue sweets, fresh fruit, cookies, candies, and bite-sized treats. Easy to customize and perfect for sharing, it’s a fun centerpiece for Independence Day parties, cookouts, and summer celebrations.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries
  • 12 to 16 small sugar cookies
  • 8 to 10 chocolate chip cookie
  • 8 small brownies, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 8 small brownies, cut into bite-sized piece
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup white chocolate candies or white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup red and white candies
  • 1 cup yogurt-covered pretzels
  • 1 cup blue candies
  • 1/2 cup red licorice pieces
  • 1/2 cup blue chocolate candies
  • 1 cup vanilla frosting or sweet cream cheese dip
  • 1/2 cup strawberry or raspberry dessert dip
  • Optional red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • Optional star-shaped cookies or festive decorations

Method
 

  1. Wash the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries, then pat them completely dry.
  2. Hull and halve the strawberries. Cut brownies and larger desserts into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Place the vanilla frosting, cream cheese dip, or fruit dip into small serving bowls.
  4. Arrange the bowls on a large serving board, spacing them around the surface.
  5. Add the brownies, cookies, cupcakes, and other larger desserts around the bowls.
  6. Arrange the strawberries and raspberries throughout the board to create pops of red.
  7. Add blueberries and blue candies in small clusters around the desserts.
  8. Fill the remaining spaces with white chocolate, marshmallows, yogurt-covered pretzels, and other white treats.
  9. Add red and blue candies to any empty spaces.
  10. Finish with optional star-shaped cookies, sprinkles, or other patriotic decorations.
  11. Check the board for a balanced mix of red, white, and blue ingredients.
  12. Refrigerate perishable components until shortly before serving.
