  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the Peanut Butter Banana Filling
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 medium ripe bananas, sliced
For the Topping
  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter, slightly warmed
  • 1 small banana, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped peanuts, optional

Method

  1. Crush the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs. Combine them with melted butter until evenly moistened.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom and slightly up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish. Refrigerate for 20 minutes.
  3. Beat the softened cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth and creamy.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip 1 cup of cold heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  6. Arrange the sliced bananas over the chilled crust.
  7. Spoon the peanut butter filling over the bananas and smooth the surface.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
  9. Before serving, whip the remaining heavy cream with powdered sugar until soft to medium peaks form
  10. Spread or pipe the whipped cream over the pie. Add fresh banana slices, a drizzle of warmed peanut butter, and chopped peanuts if desired.
